SOP For Cleaning Of RLAF Pre Filter

Standard operating procedure for cleaning of pre filters of RLAF.

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to develop a standard procedure for cleaning of RLAF pre filters.

2.0 Scope

The current SOP is implemented for the procedure used for cleaning the pre filter of RLAF in the store department.

3.0 Responsibility

3.1 HVAC assistant is responsible for cleaning the pre filter of RLAF.

3.2 The store officer is responsible for implementing this SOP.

3.3 The HOP of the store is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.

3.4 Quality Assurance Officer monitors the compliance of this SOP.

Note 

RLAF is installed in the dispensing area of the store department where dispensing activity is done.Pre filters are installed in the RLAF to filter the environmental air & to protect the HEPA filters.

If the manometer of the pre filter indicates differential pressure reading towards the maximum side it means the pre filter is choked.

If the manometer of the pre filter indicates differential pressure reading towards the lower side it means the pre filter is damaged.

4.0 Procedure

4.1 HVAC assistant shall check the differential pressure of the pre filter before cleaning.

4.2 HVAC assistant shall turn the RLAF off & open the pre filter fixture to remove the pre filter.

4.3 Put the pre filter inside the polythene bag & shift it to the filter cleaning area.

4.4 The HVAC assistant shall remove the pre filter from the polythene bag & inspect it physically for any damage.

4.5 If no damage is observed, clean the pre filter with a vacuum blower.

4.6 The HVAC assistant shall put the cleaned pre filter in a clean polythene bag & bring it back to the RLAF area.

4.7 The HVAC assistant shall clean the inside duct of RLAF with vacuum cleaner & install the pre filter to its position.

4.8 Turn ON the RLAF & note the differential pressure of the pre filter,report to HVAC head for pre filter replacement if pressure is not within range
