Standard operating procedure for transferring and storage of dispensed raw materials to the post dispensing area.
1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this SOP is to develop a standard procedure for transferring and storage of dispensed raw materials to the post dispensing area.
2.0 Scope
This SOP is applicable for the procedure used for transferring and storage of dispensed raw material to post dispensing areas in pharmaceutical industries.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Dispensing operator is responsible for storage & transferring of the dispensed batch.
3.2 The Store officer is responsible for implementing this SOP.
3.3 The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the implementation of this SOP.
3.4 Q.A. Officer QA monitors the compliance of this SOP.
Note
All the dispensed materials of a specific batch after dispensing are transferred & stored in the post dispensing area or staging area from where it is delivered to the production department on requirement.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 All the materials after dispensing shall be transferred to the post dispensing area & stored on dedicated pellets.
4.2 Load all the dispensed materials in a stainless steel cage trolley after verification as per MO.
4.3 Attach an identification label to the SS transfer cage trolley and shift it to the post dispensing area.
4.4 Open the door of the transferring cage trolley and place all materials one by one on the dedicated pellet.
4.5 All the materials must be away from the wall & fix a Dispensed batch status label to the pellet.
4.6 In case of more than one pellet mark the total pellet numbers on the label.
4.7 Enter the data of the transferred batch in the log book and lock the post dispensing area.
