Standard Operating Procedure or SOP for the storage of temperature sensitive raw materials.
1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this SOP is to develop a standard procedure for storage of temperature sensitive raw materials.
2.0 Scope
This SOP is applicable for the storage of temperature sensitive raw materials in the store department of pharma.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Store supervisor is responsible for the transferring & storage of material.
3.2 Store officer is responsible for the implementation of this SOP.
3.3 HOD of the store is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the current SOP.
3.4 Q.A Officer monitors the compliance of this SOP.
4.0 Procedure
4.1 The store officer shall check the storage condition of the raw materials mentioned on the manufacturer label after receiving the raw materials.
4.2 Store person shall check the list of temperature sensitive raw materials provided by the QA department.
4.3 Store person shall transfer & store the raw materials in a cold room if following storage conditions are mentioned.
- Store at cold temperature.
- Store at temperature 2 to 8 °C.
- Store below 15 °C.
- Store in a deep freezer
4.4 Store person shall transfer and store the raw in a cool room if following storage conditions are mentioned.
- Store in cool place
- Store below 25 °C.
4.5 Store person shall update the storage location in rack plan using computer or manual system.
4.6 Store person shall ensure the regular monitoring of temperature recording of cold room as well as cool room.
